Vernon Adams did not graduate from Eastern Washington University this spring, according to a report by The Oregonian, causing some to speculate as to his status at the University of Oregon.
However, a report by 247 Sports soon after explained that Adams’ situation with the UO has not changed and that he still must pass a summer math class at EWU before transferring.
Bruce Feldman of CBS sports tweeted that Adams should finish the math class soon and is on track to transfer:
Re: #Oregon grad transfer: I’m told by a source close to Vernon Adams he is finishing up a math class in the next week or so as was planned.

Summer classes at EWU end Aug. 14, four days after Oregon begins fall practice. The Ducks’ first game of the season comes against EWU on Sept. 5.
Adams announced on Feb. 9 that he would transfer to Oregon to compete for the starting quarterback position. In his time at EWU, Adams threw for 10,438 yards and 110 touchdowns.
The UO admitted Adams as a graduate student on Monday, allowing him to enroll in classes on Aug. 5.
Head coach Mark Helfrich said in late June that Oregon “doesn’t anticipate any hiccups” in Adams’ transfer to the school.
