– On Thursday, UO Board of Trustees released the plans for the renovation of Hayward Field. The Facilities and Finance Committee will vote on the proposal by Sept. 10.
– Less than a year after reigning Heisman winner Marcus Mariota took his talents to Tennessee, Phil and Penny Knight gift the “Marcus Mariota Sports Performance Complex” to Oregon’s athletic department. Contraction is scheduled to begin in January 2016 with a projected finish of September 15, 2016.
– Since losing running back Thomas Tyner to season-ending shoulder surgery, the backups have been competing for the RB2 position.
– Oregon is just about set to face Eastern Washington (FCS) in tomorrow’s season opener. Expect to see a good number of talented freshman take the field come game time.
