Oregon women’s basketball forward Jillian Alleyne has been named espnW national player of the week, it was announced Sunday night.
She is the third Pac-12 player to earn the award this year.
Alleyne posted a 30-point, 25-rebound performance in the Ducks’ come-from-behind win against UCLA on Saturday. Alleyne accounted for Oregon’s final 10 points, including the game-winner with 1.8 seconds remaining.
She helped the Ducks erase a 14-point deficit it in the final 13:22 minutes against UCLA.
Alleyne’s performance Saturday is her fourth game with at least 30 points and 20 rebounds. She currently leads the NCAA with 18 double-doubles.
“I don’t think I’ve ever had a player have a more impressive performance, and then to see her cap it off with the game-winning shot was something special,” head coach Kelly Graves said after the game.
Alleyne tops the Pac-12 in rebounding with 15.3 per game and ranks fifth in scoring with 17.2 points per game.
