SEATTLE — Oregon’s men’s basketball team is in Seattle to take on the Washington Huskies in an NIT quarterfinal matchup tonight at Alaska Airlines Arena. With a trip to New York on the line, the Ducks and Huskies are set for a rubber match in a series that saw each team notch blowout wins at home this season.
Oregon is led in scoring by senior guard Devoe Joseph, who averages 16.9 points per game. The Toronto native scored only four points in Seattle in December — the only time he scored fewer than 10 points all season — and had 13 points against the Huskies in Eugene in February.
Washington’s leading scorers are guards Tony Wroten and Terrence Ross, who each average 16.0 points per game. Wroten, the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, had 17 points against the Ducks in December and 14 against them in February, while Ross scored 11 in the teams’ first game and eight in their second.
