This is Emerald News Radio. Recent allegations of a hacking scandal has altered the course of ASUO elections, and left last week’s primary votes invalid. The alleged actions of members of the Katie and Alex campaign, resulted in the removal of the presidential and vice presidential candidates Katie Taylor and Alex Sylvester from the ballot, and the reinstatement of Ben Bowman and Lamar Wise. Eliza Collins and Mia Schauffler spoke with four members of the effected campaigns.
Apologies for audio quality during the Lamar interview about midway through, due to music in the University of Oregon amphitheater.
Members of the Katie and Alex campaign were not available for comment.
