Oregon’s marketing team is making a big push today promoting the Ducks’ showdown with USC tomorrow at 4 p.m. in Los Angeles. A video unveiling the jerseys De’Anthony Thomas and the rest of his teammates will wear is creating buzz right now.
USC is answering Oregon’s Storm LA push with their own shirt:
You know what is awesome? This USC shirt, DesTROY Their Day.Brilliant marketing by @nike #StormLA bit.ly/YezPVe

USC’s response to Oregon’s “Storm LA” is very cool. store.nike.com/us/en_us/?l=sh… Nike naturally raking in $$$ on both sides. — Matt Walks (@mgwalks) November 2, 2012
In other news, it only took a little under a year for Chip Kelly to make a commercial with UPS after famously name dropping the company after the Pac-12 Championship game last year. “We’re going to go drink some Dr. Pepper, and mail our Christmas presents with UPS!” Maybe the extra $ from UPS will entice Chip want to stay one more year at Oregon… I doubt it.
One more video, this one from earlier in the week, shows the Duck preparing for the LA road trip. The power of Oregon’s brand is pretty incredible; this video was posted two days ago and already has 42,000 views.
