Upon her arrival at the Eugene Police Department early Thursday morning, a University of Oregon student received a citation after officers determined she had been drinking prior to driving to the police station, according to The Register-Guard.
The student, 21-year-old Emily White, had driven to the station shortly before 2 a.m. the night before with the intent of driving home fellow UO student 21-year-old Aaron Matney. Matney was, earlier in the night, taken into custody for drunk driving following a traffic stop after a near head-on crash with a city patrol officer’s car.
