Your personal style guide to make a good first impression.
First day of school is overwhelming. Let’s be realistic, no one will pay attention to you. So do not plan on taking more than 30 minutes to get ready. Your options should be sweats, yoga pants, or leggings. Jeans and a nice T-shirt may be pushing it on the first day, it would be a waste of an outfit.
Do not give in on the second day of school and wear your best outfit. The second day is still overwhelming because not everyone is settled in his or her classes, seats or even attending class. Stick to sweats but if it’s killing you, wear one accessory that is new.
The point is, you don’t want to wear all your new outfit ideas on the first couple or few days of schools. One, no one cares or knows who you are yet. Two, it’s a waste of a nice outfit.
The time to bring out hair accessories or look remotely cute is the third day. Set two to three causal, trendy outfits for the next couple days. So it sets in people’s minds that you’re a trendy person.
Trendy people don’t bring their A game on the first week. So wait for the Monday of week two to blow their minds.
