After investigating an incident that occurred Friday, police identified Justin Peterson, 23, of Eugene, as a stabbing suspect. He was arrested on charges of second-degree assault and first-degree robbery.
Peterson robbed 64-year-old Michael John Claughton at knife point, causing minor injuries. A third man, David Dean Burdick, 36, engaged Peterson and was seriously injured.
He was transported to a local hospital. Burdick’s brother, Douglas Burdick, 39, also intervened but only had minor wounds.
A knife was recovered from an uninvolved person.
