Robert Johnson is Oregon’s new head track and field coach, according to an announcement made by University Athletics Director Rob Mullens on Tuesday.
Vin Lananna, who has been head coach since 2006, will remain an associate athletic director and will serve as a track and field administrator, according to the announcement. He will also continue to work with the Oregon Track Club Elite.
Johnson, who was hired by Lananna in 2005, will replace the former head coach. Johnson has worked with the track team for eight seasons and completed his third as associate head women’s coach.
