Eugene Police officers initiated 21 stops and arrested 19 people between 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday night. The city police department did not receive any disorderly party calls, which would have incited a response from the ‘Party Patrol.’
Official count of citations and charges given out Saturday night:
- 12 Open container (three University of Oregon students)
- 7 Minors in possession (four UO students)
- 3 Interfering with police (one UO student)
- 6 Trespass II (all UO students)
- 6 Possession of less than one ounce of marijuana (all UO students)
- 4 Other violations/crimes (two UO students)
- 2 Traffic citations (both UO students)
- 1 Non-criminal transport to the Buckley Center
Eugene police are continuing weekend patrols in order to decrease unruly parties.
