As summer moves farther away, you’re going to have to find entertainment that doesn’t require sunshine. When you and you friends are bored on a gloomy day, pick up a glue gun and start crafting.
Mason jars have endless uses and for next to nothing at Goodwill you can pick up as many as you need. To add some color to a room, paint the inside of a jar and use it as a vase. Need more wall storage? Mount mason jars to a wood panel using large pipe clamps and hang it on the wall. Instead of a normal picture frame, stand up a picture in a mason jar. If it’s an especially gloomy day and you’re feeling especially crafty, try making a mason-jar chandelier.
Most college houses lack when it comes to decorations. To brighten up a living space, you need a white canvas, a box of crayons, a glue gun, and a blow dryer. Glue the crayons to the top of the canvas in whatever order you want. Then, stand the canvas up and blow dry the crayons. They’ll melt down the canvas in a wave of color. If you’d rather stick with one color theme, you’ll just need to pick up a few more crayon boxes.
Since you’ll be crafting with friends, you should probably make each other friendship bracelets. They’re easy to make, and you only need a few different colors of thread, which you can get at the Duck Store, to finish the project.
