Leading the way were two Oregon natives with freshman Sulman Raza@@http://www.goducks.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=500&ATCLID=205690302@@, from Eugene (72-74-71) and redshirt senior Tyler Parker, from Portland, Ore., (76-68-73) as both players tied for 10th place overall with one-over scores of 217. These scores were their highest career placings.
For Parker, this was the first time he had led the Ducks in an event’s final standings in his career as he penciled in four birdies on holes 1, 8, 11 and 18. He carded 10 par scores (holes 2-6, 9-10, 13-15), three bogeys (7, 12, 16) and one double bogey (17) on Tuesday as he capped off a good performance.
Raza, on the other hand, had his first under-par collegiate round as he helped pace the Ducks for the second time in the event and in his career as he logged in an eagle on the par-4 11th hole, three birdies on the eighth, 13th and 15th holes, 11 par scores (1, 3, 6, 7, 9-10, 12, 14, 16-18), two bogeys (2, 5) and one double-bogey (4).
