Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine@@http://www.kiplinger.com/magazine/contents.html@@ has ranked the University of Oregon 98th on its list of the top 100 best value public colleges for 2013. The magazine surveyed over 500 public institutions and selected schools based on factors like admission rates, four- and six-year graduation rates, and the cost of tuition, fees, room and board.
According to the magazine, UO was chosen based on a combination of its high percentage of students graduating after four years, low average student debt at graduation, abundant financial aid and its lower cost of tuition. UO also made the list last year, ranking 97th.
Other Pac-12 universities that made the list are UCLA (6th), University of California at Berkeley (8th), University of Washington (17th), and University of Colorado at Boulder (88th).
