Marberry and Taylor are marketing representatives from RepNation who are promoting Macy’s clothing lines American Rag and Jenni. They are looking for students ages 18 to 24 who want be a part of a documentary and road trip centered around the music industry. They are looking for music writers, musicians, dancers, DJs – just about anyone who is “passionate” about music.
Five winners will be chosen from 12 university casting calls around the nation and online submissions at raggedroad.com.
While Marberry, a psychology major, wouldn’t say which celebrities the tour will meet up with, she did say there will be “a lot of opportunities for aspiring musicians and talent to meet” some big names.
Performances will not be required during the casting call, but a documentary crew will be present to tape the events. Students can expect to be asked several questions and spend about five minutes in the interview.
“What we’re really looking for is a really diverse group of students who are passionate about the industry,” Marberry said.
