Three non-perishable food items is all it takes to watch an afternoon of football on Saturday at Autzen Stadium.
The Oregon football team concludes spring drills Saturday at 2 p.m. with the annual spring football game. And, for the third year in row, the athletics department is teaming with Food for Lane County to restock the Lane
County Food Bank. The athletics department is requesting a donation of three non-perishable food items for admission into the game. Parking is free for the event.
The intrasquad game involves two equal teams. The “Green” squad is led by quarterback Dennis Dixon and defensive coordinator Nick Aliotti. Brady Leaf and offensive coordinator Gary Crowton will lead the “White” team.
There are two 15-minute quarters in the first half with normal game situations. The second half will have a running clock. Each half will begin with a kickoff and both teams will punt only in the first half.
The game will be televised statewide by Comcast 14 and will be replayed at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
