Volunteers working to strengthen Oregon’s communities are being honored in statewide celebrations from April 23-29 as part of Oregon Volunteer Week.
The week’s theme, “Inspire by Example,” is intended to reflect the power that volunteers have to both inspire the people they help and to encourage others to volunteer.
Members of the Volunteer Center Network of Oregon and community-based organizations are planning special volunteer celebrations in their communities.
The celebration is sponsored by Oregon Volunteers! Commission for Voluntary Action & Service and the State Committee on Volunteerism. More information about services and volunteering is available at www.oregonvolunteers.org.
