The University on Thursday is hosting its annual University Day, a campus-wide community service event that involves the participation of students, faculty and community members.
The theme “So Fresh and So Clean” was inspired by the first University Day held in 1905. Planned activities around campus include trash clean-up, gardening, painting and the dedication of a commemorative plaque in the EMU Amphitheater at noon.
Entertainment will be provided around campus throughout the day.
Volunteer check-ins are from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Collier Lawn at East 13th Avenue and University Street.
