A 21-year-old man found dead at the scene of a Wednesday apartment arson downtown was murdered, Eugene police detectives said Friday.
Detectives have identified the man, found at 494 W. 11th Ave., as Noah Thacker.
A neighbor saw smoke filling the apartment, entered and discovered Thacker’s body Wednesday evening.
Thacker was not listed as a resident of the apartment, and detectives continue to interview those who live nearby.
