OPTION 1: Go online and check out an exchange Web site. Those sites specialize in uniting individuals who have unwanted contracts with people who are looking for service. Celltradeusa.com, for example, charges $19.99 to those looking to get out of a contract and allows users wanting to get in unlimited free access. People looking to buy a contract will need to pass a credit evaluation and pay any necessary deposits, but many contracts include a free phone.
OPTION 2: Get your cell phone company to terminate you. Most phone companies have a stipulation written in the service contract that says if more than 51 percent of your calls are done in roaming for three straight months your contract will be terminated. To accomplish this, find an area where your phone is in roaming and use slightly more than half of the minutes you use during non-roaming conversation. For example, if you use 400 minutes in a month, roam for 401. Information according to Roaminghack.blogspot.com.
OPTION 3: Service providers often make changes to contracts and give notice within billing statements. These changes technically void the old contract, and customers usually have 30 days to cancel the contract because the terms have changed, according to Fixyourthinking.com.
OPTION 4: Sometimes complaining works as well. If service is not satisfactory, companies will sometimes let people off the hook.
