The 110th edition of the football Civil War was moved up to Friday, Nov. 24, the day after Thanksgiving, and highlights one of six live television appearances by the Ducks during next season.
The game between Oregon and Oregon State, held in Corvallis next season, hasn’t been played on a day other than Saturday in the past 79 years. The game is slated to begin at 12:30 p.m. on
Fox Sports Net.
Oregon is also scheduled to have television appearances against Stanford (Sept. 2 at 12:30 p.m.), Oklahoma (Sept. 16 at 12:30 p.m.) and at California (Oct. 7 at 5 p.m.) on ABC, and the game against California might be shown on ESPN. The Ducks’ game at Fresno State (Sept. 9 at 7 p.m.) is scheduled for an ESPN2 broadcast and Oregon’s game at USC (Nov. 11 at 7:15 p.m.) is also on FSN.
Any one of Oregon’s remaining six games can be selected for television on either six or 12 days before kickoff.
Last season eight of Oregon’s games were on television. The Ducks were 6-2 in those games, including losses to top-ranked USC and in the Holiday Bowl to Oklahoma.
