Students this week have the opportunity to express to administrators their opinions about the University and how its image is interpreted.
The Integrated Marketing and Strategic Communications Task Force – a group designed to clarify, coordinate and improve communication at the University – released an online survey to students, faculty and staff May 29. It is part of the Task Force’s undertaking to identify the University’s strengths, vision and values. The results of the survey will be considered when the Task Force decides what image of the University it wants to project to the public as part of a revamped, coordinated marketing and communication strategy.
The survey, which takes less than three minutes to complete, is available through an e-mail sent out to all eligible participants. There are also advertisements in the print and online versions of the Emerald with a link to the survey, as well as a link on the University Web site. Finally, a table with laptops will be set up in the EMU today and Thursday where anyone can take the survey.
“We really would like (students’) feedback,” said Marian Friestad, Task Force co-chair. “They’re an important group here at the University and we really do want to listen to their voice.”
The survey will be available through Friday.
