A female student reported an unidentified man masturbating in the Knight Library Tuesday evening, according to the Department of Public Safety.
A student walking outside the east part of the library saw a man inside the building masturbating against a window, said Mark Watson, associate librarian for collections and access.
The woman told the front desk about the man, and library staff called DPS.
No arrests were made, said DPS Interim Director Richard Turkiewicz.
By the time DPS arrived, the man had “closed up shop,” according to a library incident report.
Officers searched the building, and an officer patrolled the building Wednesday night and couldn’t find the person.
During winter break, Eugene police officers arrested a transient man for masturbating in the library.
