Oregon is in third place after the first round of the UNLV Spring Invitational, five shots back from team leaders Tulsa and Texas Tech.
Senior Cathryn Bristow led the Ducks with a three-over 75, which places her tied for third overall at the tournament as an individual. Sophomore Kendra Little’s 77 has her tied for 11th, and sophomore Monika Graf (79), freshman Ashley Edwards (80) and junior Felicia Eastick (82) rounded out the scoring top-five for the Ducks.
Eighteen teams are at the three-round tournament. Oregon entered it ranked 29th and 38th in the GolfWeek and GolfStat polls.
Bristow led the Ducks in the team’s season-opening tournament last week in the Kiawah Island Classic. Last week’s Julie Inkster Spartan Invitational in San Jose, Calif., was rained out.
