Olympian and Oregon distance runner Galen Rupp was honored Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as its cross-country scholar-athlete of the year.
Rupp, a senior, won the 2008 NCAA Division I cross country title and led Oregon to its second straight team title in November and carries a 3.91 GPA in business administration.
The USTFCCCA also honored women’s runners Nicole Blood, junior, and Alex Kosinski, sophomore, to its All-Academic team.
