Briefly explain your platform.
OAT; My platform mainly is to reduce the I-Fee, make it more affordable for students, and we want to keep the library open 24 hours. By 2020, we want a new EMU, athletic center and also would like to improve the residence halls. We think that more students should have the opportunity to have football tickets.
What qualities and experience qualify you to be an ASUO senator?
Student leadership in high school, leadership in extracurricular programs. As an out-of-state tuition and didn’t know where my money was going, would like more students to know how money is being spent and where.
What are your thoughts on the size and purpose of the student incidental fee?
In the current economy, it’s not appropriate and too high. It should be lowered to the essentials required by programs.
What steps would you take to relieve the financial pressures on the EMU?
The EMU should be rebuilt, and for programs, there’s a lot of extra costs that can be reduced.
How would you change the EMU to better serve students?
Giving them the money that they need, try to get them more involved with programs and specify what they see as important.
