Briefly explain your platform.
I’m here just to get more involved with the students and communicate science in a better perspective in the Senate.
What qualities and experience qualify you to be an ASUO senator?
Back in high school I was involved in Model UN and Youth in Government. I’ve always felt I could communicate. I know Robert’s Rules of Order.
What are your thoughts on the purpose and size of the student incidental fee?
I don’t like the fact they are increasing it.
How will you ensure that you are representing your constituents’ interests?
Being a part of the marine biology major and knowing a lot of science majors I know that I’ll have a lot of connections and students that try to communicate with me about what they feel is needed in the department. I live in the dorms too, so I feel I can communicate that way with incoming freshmen.
What are some major issues facing science majors and how would you address them?
Our textbooks are incredibly, incredibly expensive. Lab fees and fees in general in terms of biology and chemistry (are high). I don’t know how to address them, I’m hoping to find out.
