As a representative of the student body, I am honored to be part of a group where many difficult issues can be brought up. At our last ASUO Senate meeting, we discussed issues involving legal interpretation on who are supported citizens, when is it OK to put students’ needs above the by-laws, and issues that pertained to gender equity and environmental protection. There will always be disagreement on what is the best way to support students on these issues, but it is obvious that everyone involved in the ASUO cares about the students on this campus.
