Sophomore Siobhan Cavan had a particularly strong weekend for the Oregon women’s tennis team at the Pacific-10 Conference Championship tournament
this weekend.
Cavan picked up two wins on day one, beating ASU’s Ali van Horne 6-3, 6-1 and battled back to defeat UCLA’s Anna-Viktoria Lind 2-6, 6-1, 6-2. Cavan saw her hot streak come to an end in the round of 16.
She and sophomore
Stefanie Macfarlane had a solid run in doubles play as well, going as far as the semifinals before coming up short. Oregon saw several seniors participate in their final matches this weekend, and will have some rebuilding to do
heading into next season.
