Oregon lost its seventh Pacific-10 Conference game in a row when it lost 1-0 to No. 15 Cal Sunday. It also lost 7-2 Saturday to the Golden Bears and to No. 4 Stanford 2-0 Friday.
The Ducks (15-29, 2-13 Pacific-10 Conference) got one hit off winning pitcher Marissa Drewrey. Oregon starter Samantha Skillingstad (11-12) gave Cal only four hits but two came with two outs in the fifth inning when Gina Leomiti hit a double that scored Jamia Reid.
On Saturday Oregon didn’t score until the sixth inning, already behind 6-0, when junior Carlyn Re singled in junior Neena Bryant, and Re was driven in by a Monique Fuiava triple.
Senior left fielder Sari-Jane Jenkins moved into second place all-time at UO with her 228th hit on Saturday.
On Friday the Ducks got 10 strikeouts by freshman Samantha Skillingstad, the ninth time this year she struck out seven or more batters, but were sunk by a two-out home run by Stanford in extra innings for the loss.
Skillingstad finished with seven walks allowed in her 8.2 innings pitched on Friday.
Stanford’s Shannon Koplitz hit the two-run home run for the Cardinal to win the game, one of five Stanford hits. Oregon managed three.
