Incident: Car Accident
Location: 355 E. Broadway
When: Sunday, March 1
Time: 2:05 a.m.
Suspect: Trale Haphon, 84
What: Haphon was driving down Broadway on the wrong side of the street in his Tacoma pick-up. He hit an on-coming Pontiac Grand Am, driven by Cozette Smythe, 44, who had two passengers, Adam Wooley, 29, and Todd Childrey, 44. Haphon’s pick-up flipped in the middle of the street, blocking the entrance to Franklin Boulevard. Six Eugene police officers responded, as well as the Eugene Fire Department, and blocked off a block of Franklin. Haphon was cited with reckless driving and he, Smythe and one of the passengers were taken to the hospital. None of their injuries were life-threatening.

Time: 2:44 a.m.
Where: John Henry’s
What: A caller reported a bouncer at John Henry’s hit the caller’s friend in the face outside the bar. The altercation had been between three bouncers and the friend, and the caller said the bouncers then tried to start a fight with a pedestrian.

Location: 3666 Hilyard St.
When: Saturday, Feb. 28
Time: 12:02 p.m.
Where: Tugman Park
What: Two separate callers reported a man of medium height wearing a hoodie and blue jeans sitting on the children’s merry-go-round in Tugman Park. The man was screaming obscenities at passersby while occupying the merry-go-round and frightening both parents and children to the point they would not enter the play area at all.
