Oregon lacrosse begins East Coast swing today
Oregon women’s lacrosse begins its two-game trip along the East Coast today when it plays No. 9 North Carolina in Chapel Hill, the third straight season the two teams have met. The Tar Heels (1-0) have won both previous meetings against Oregon (1-1), which evened its Mountain Pacific Sports Federation record last weekend by beating UC Davis 13-6 at home.
North Carolina sophomore Corey Donohoe was named ACC player of the week last week after scoring four goals in an overtime win over No. 12 Vanderbilt.
Donohoe scored four goals and had two assists against the Ducks last season in the Heels’ 14-9 win.
Oregon plays Stony Brook (0-2) on Sunday in Baltimore, Md.
