The second annual TrackTown Summer Series concluded on Thursday in New York, New York and there were several former Oregon athletes that found success now competing as professional track athletes.
The event was made up of four teams. The New York Empire, Portland Pulse, Philadelphia Force and San Francisco Surge competed in three meets in San Francisco, California, Portland, Oregon, and New York.
Johnny Gregorek, an All-American during his time at Oregon, represented the New York Empire and took first place in the 1,500-meters. He finished in 3:35.
Devon Allen finished in first place in the 110-meter hurdles. He completed the event in 13.36 seconds. For Allen, Thursday marked his first win of the season. In November of 2016 he announced he was done with football, a sport in which he suffered a torn ACL twice, instead deciding to focus solely on his professional track career. In March, he announced he signed with Nike.

Kyree King, who competed for the Portland Pulse, competed in the 100-meter final and took first place in 10.31 seconds. The TrackTown Summer series was just the second professional event for King. The first event was the USATF Championships in late June.
On Friday, it was announced that Kyree King will represent the USA in the 200-meters at the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London.
Trevor Dunbar competed in the 5,000-meter road race and took fourth place in 14 minutes and 13 seconds. Colby Alexander finished in fifth place for the 1,500-meter final.
On the women’s side only Ashley Maton, representing the Portland Pulse, placed in an event. She took eighth in the 3,000-meter final with a time of nine minutes and 30 seconds.
New York Empire took first with 200.5 points, just four points ahead of the Portland Pulse. Philadelphia Force finished third with 189 points and the San Francisco Surge finished last with 180 points.
