Oregon football (4-1, 1-1) is one spot outside the new AP Top 25 poll. The Ducks defeated California 45-24 but lost quarterback Justin Herbert for 4-6 weeks with a broken left collarbone.
Washington State, Oregon’s next opponent, jumped five spots to No. 11 after defeating No. 5 USC 30-27 on Friday night. USC dropped nine spots to No. 14.
No. 6 Washington remains in the top 10 after a 42-7 victory against Oregon State.
