— Three players who had off-the-field issues are “no longer with” the Oregon football program, a UO athletics spokesman confirmed Monday. The players were suspended indefinitely by former head coach Mark Helfrich, but will not return under new head coach Willie Taggart.
— The Oregonian’s Andrew Greif found four other Ducks who are no longer listed on the Oregon football roster, as well as 11 who have changed numbers.
— Taggart has reportedly hired Washington State defensive line coach Joe Salave’a to coach the same position group at Oregon, FootballScoop.com reported Monday night.
— Oregon track and field is ranked No. 1 on USTFCCCA’s Women’s Preseason indoor rankings after winning the national title in 2016.
— The Emerald’s Romaine Soh details which Oregon track and field athletes to watch as the Ducks get set to begin the indoor season.
— Oregon women’s basketball beat Cal on freshman Sabrina Ionescu’s buzzer-beater three-pointer on Sunday. The Ducks erased a six-point deficit with 30 seconds left to play to secure its first Pac-12 win.
— Former Ducks women’s basketball player Jayde Woods committed to TCU Sunday after transferring from Oregon over holiday break. Woods told the Emerald’s Jonathan Hawthorne that Oregon “wasn’t a good fit for [her].”
