The No. 17 Oregon women’s golf team earned a sixth place finish at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational, held at the Tacoma Country and Golf Club in Tacoma, Wash.
The Ducks finished 31 strokes over par for the tournament, 48 behind tournament champion California (-17). USC (-15), Washington (+13), Stanford (+30) and Pepperdine (+30) rounded out the top five.
Oregon senior Kendra Little posted the Ducks’ lowest three-day total at +3. Little’s performance earned her a tie for 11th place in the individual competition.
As a team, the Ducks shot three over par in yesterday’s third and final round. That score was Oregon’s best of the tournament.
Ashley Edwards bounced back from an opening round of 10 over par to post a score of one under — Oregon’s only negative round of the tournament. Edwards’ 71 tied her career-low score.
Little continued her strong play in the final round by shooting even par, and Raphaela Dyer had her best round of the tournament at one over.
After a few weeks away from competition, Oregon will travel to Nevada to play in the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, Oct. 25-27 at Boulder Creek Country Club.
