The Oregon baseball team closed its midweek series against Gonzaga with a 9-0 win on Wednesday at PK Park.
The Ducks (28-24-1) wasted no time getting on the board on Wednesday, plating two runs in the bottom of the first inning. Freshman first baseman Ryon Healy got things started with an RBI groundout, and the second run came when freshman right fielder Aaron Jones smacked an RBI single.
Oregon doubled its lead in the third, as Healy knocked in a run with a double and Jones came through with another RBI single.
The Ducks added another run in the fifth, and four more in the seventh and eighth innings to put Gonzaga (29-16-1) away for good.
Junior starter Alex Keudell, meanwhile, hummed through the first seven innings before being replaced with one out in the eighth. Junior reliever Scott McGough came in to close the game out over the final two innings.
