Afghan barbers
It recently came to light that some U.S. soldiers stationed in Afghanistan have been getting their eyebrows shaped by local Afghan barbers. A pleasant victory
Holding a Husky offense with a new bite to under 300 total yards was no small task. And on Saturday, a day ruled by defense, it was nice to see solid D coming from the Pacific Northwest. Our bunch might not be ready for a rematch with LSU, but they’ve got a puncher’s shot in many bowls.

Questionable athletic department decisions
The inimitable author of the UO Matters blog has been feeding us all week with facts about money from the University’s athletic budget finding its way into academic line items. A covering-all-bases column from The Oregonian’s Steve Duin capped off the week. This story is sketchy, no matter what direction it goes from here.
