Arrested Development
People break into homes all the time to steal valuables, but Jason Leon Bastrom of Portland, Ore. was only looking @@checked@@to catch up on some TV as he let himself in through the unlocked front door. The homeowner called police as well as a family member to confront the TV junkie, the latter of whom subsequently knocked out Bastrom. The offender was treated and booked into Multnomah County Jail on charges of criminal trespass.

German police were left surprised when, in the early hours of Sunday morning, they pulled over @@checked@@the Jedi Master Yoda for fleeing the scene of an accident after hitting a pedestrian, who was left with minor injuries. The 42-year-old male driver was taken to the station where authorities confiscated his license and took a blood sample before sending the Jedi knight on his way. “In this case, the Force was not with him,” police said.
Lego Man behind real bars
An 8-foot-tall Lego man washed up in Siesa Key, Florida on Tuesday, Oct. 25. Many believe it to be an experiment from the famous Netherlands’ artist, Ego Leonard. Apparently, this offense was deemed severe by county police, as the 100-pound depiction of the popular toy man is being held in police custody for 90 days (just kidding, it’s just being held as lost and found).@@http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-lego-man-20111030,0,3945994.story@@

A woman in Italy was shocked as she received a parking ticket for $44,500 and rightly so. According to the ticket, she had left her car in that spot since the year 208 A.D. As it turns out, the officer forgot to enter a critical zero in the year.
