The Oregon Ducks, runners-up at the 2011 NCAA Outdoor Championships two weeks ago, were named the Terry Crawford Program of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
It is the third such honor in a row for the Ducks, the 2011 indoor national champions. Oregon also finished 12th at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, which factored into their honors.
Additionally, 27 Duck athletes were named All-Americans by the USTFCCCA for their work at NCAA outdoors, including NCAA champions Matthew Centrowitz, Anne Kesselring and Melissa Gergel. Eleven women and four men occupied spots on the USTFCCCA’s All-America first team.
