The Oregon women’s basketball season rolls on.
The Ducks shot 65 percent from 3-point range and had four scorers reach double digits for a 84-59 win over Fresno State at Matthew Knight Arena on Monday night.
With the win, the Ducks (21-10) will play Utah on Wednesday in Eugene in the third round of WNIT action.
Maite Cazorla paced Oregon with 20 points and nine assists, Lexi Petersen had 19 points on 6-of-9 shooting, Lexi Bando added 15 and Kat Cooper had 13.
The Ducks were 8-of-13 from the field in the first quarter behind nine points from Cooper to take a quick 24-15 lead and had its largest lead of the first half a at 21-9 with 2:28 left in the first.
Both Cooper and Vandenberg, who led the team in rebounding with 10 boards against her former team, made their first three shot attempts in the first quarter.
After Fresno State (22-11) narrowly outscored the Ducks 21-20 in the second, Oregon took a 44-36 lead to halftime. At the half, the Ducks were good for 61.5 percent from 3-point range.
Oregon used a big third quarter to pull away from the visiting Bulldogs, outscoring Fresno State 31-11. The Ducks opened the third on a 12-2 run capped by a bucket from Cazorla, who had 11 points in third while Petersen added eight.
The largest Oregon lead of 28 points came with 1:13 remaining in the third quarter. The Ducks outrebounded the Bulldogs 30-23 and held the visitors to 3-of-12 shooting from 3-point range. Oregon had 21 assists on its 31 made buckets.
