Tobita was the first to finish in singles. She took a 6-3, 6-4 win to give Oregon the 2-0 lead. Johnson took her match to a third set before securing the 2-6, 7-5, 6-2 victory, and Woodson bested UCSB’s Jaimee Gilbertson 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 to secure Oregon the 4-0 victory.
Play continued for sake of records on the remaining courts, and Marlou Kluiving and Rose were the only Ducks to fall in singles play. Oregon ended the day 5-2.
Tomorrow, the Ducks will remain in Manoa when they take on Hawaii at 3 p.m.
