The Oregon women’s lacrosse program announced Thursday that it would be adding another high profile coach, Becca Block, to round out its coaching staff for the upcoming season. Block is a former teammate of newly hired assistant Michelle Tumolo and played at Syracuse under new Oregon head coach Katrina Dowd.
Block began her coaching career in 2014 with Vermont before serving as an assistant with Michigan State in 2015. Most recently she was an assistant at Florida, helping the Gators to an 18-2 record last season.
During her four year as a defender, Block helped lead the Orange to the National Championship game in 2012 and final four berths in 2010 and 2013. She was the IWCLA Defender of the Year and an All-American in 2013, her senior year at Syracuse. Block is also a fifth-year defender on the U.S. National Team.

Her experience competing on the U.S. National Team and her most recent season with the Florida Gators exemplifies the commitment and passion of Oregon Lacrosse. She will be a tremendous asset in teaching and mentoring our current and future Ducks.”
