Elan Carr, a linguist, attorney, military officer, community leader and Middle East expert, will be leading a discussion today at 7 p.m. in 180 PLC to address Iraq, the war on terrorism and the future of the Middle East.
Recently returned from military deployment in Iraq, Carr serves as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve and has assisted the Coalition Provisional Authority’s efforts to establish an independent Iraqi judiciary to train Iraqi judges and lawyers on topics such as constitutional law.
Tonight’s discussion is sponsored by the Oregon Hillel, Alpha Epsilon Pi and Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi.
