Legendary sports agent Leigh Steinberg will attend the University of Oregon’s Lillis Business School today to speak about business principles and ethics in today’s marketplace.
Steinberg, who has represented more than 150 professional athletes in football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, golf, boxing and Olympic sports in his 31-year career, will speak in room 182 Lillis for approximately one hour, beginning at 2 p.m.
Steinberg’s firm, Leigh Steinberg Enterprises, boasts a client roster full of some of the highest profile names in sports such as Troy Aikman, Steve Young, Ricky Williams, Ben Roethlisberger and boxing’s Heavyweight Champion Lennox Lewis. He has represented the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft a record eight times.
He has also helped pioneer the merger between the sports and entertainment industries. Steinberg received screen credit as a technical consultant on the following feature films: “Jerry Maguire,” “Any Given Sunday,” “For the Love of the Game” and the HBO original series “Arli$$.”
He has been featured on national television programs such as “60 Minutes,” “Larry King Live,” “The Today Show,” and magazines such as Business Week, Sports Illustrated, People, Success, Forbes, Playboy and GQ.
