Starting today, the Quick Fix team will be on campus to provoke discussion on social influences and addictive behaviors that involve tobacco usage, eating disorders, alcohol and drug abuse and other behaviors that interfere with students’ health, studies and life.
The Quick Fix team, a group of theater students from New York University, has been traveling to colleges and universities across the country for the past two years.
The team will be at the University through Thursday, and while here will feature 14 workshops and theatrical performances Wednesday and Thursday. The Judicial Affairs and Public Safety Workshop will be the only workshop open to the general public.
During the workshop, members of Department of Public Safety, the Eugene Police and Judicial Affairs and students will share stories and discuss issues such as drinking, drug use, relationship violence and the student conduct code. The workshop will be held 4:30 to 6 p.m. today in the EMU Gumwood Room.
