Words of all kinds will float through the Eugene fog this weekend when local poets compete in the Eugene Poetry Slam, Round 5.
Foolscap Books, located at 780 Blair Blvd., will host two more open competitions, including Saturday’s event. The slams have been going on since September, and the last one will take place in May. The winners will form the first ever Eugene Slam Team, which will travel to Chicago in August.
The poetry will begin at 8 p.m., wit h a $3 to $5 sliding scale admission. Guest poets Morris Stegosaurus, from Seattle, and Adam Stone, from Boston, will perform at the contest.
Interested poets should sign up at Foolscap Books from 7:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday.
