The women’s basketball team will play their final exhibition game on Wednesday, Nov. 7, against Corban University at 7 p.m. in Matthew Knight Arena.
The team was successful in its first exhibition game with a 118-74 win over Southern Oregon last Tuesday when four Ducks recorded double-doubles. Senior starting point guard Laura Stanulis had 18 assists to go with 10 rebounds and six points. Coming off the bench, freshman Jillian Alleyne had a strong performance with 14 points and 16 boards.
Overall, the Ducks had six players score in double figures and were led by sophomore Lexi Peterson, who had a game-high 27 points. The team registered 32 assists on 46 made baskets and forced Southern Oregon into 24 turnovers.
The women face a challenging schedule this season with 13 of their 23 opponents having competed in postseason play last year. The Ducks have 18 regular season home games, their first on Sunday, Nov. 11, against Saint Mary’s at Matt Knight Arena.
