In her freshman year, Oregon women’s golfer Cathryn Bristow left an impact. The New Zealand native was given an honorable mention in the Pacific-10 Conference.
Bristow, who won her first collegiate event, has led the Ducks throughout Oregon’s turbulent season that culminated in a last place finish at the Pac-10 tournament this week.
The freshman helped make the Ducks’ lineup more potent. Bristow finished first in each of the Ducks’ two top-five finishes.
Finishing top-30 in five , Bristow will pair with a healthy Kim McCready, a 2005 Pac-10 honorable mention, to give coach Shannon Rouillard a strong team next season.
Bristow finished tied for 40th, but shot 3-over 75 in her final round . This followed her one-stroke lead over
Indiana’s Shannon Johnson on April 15.
