That’s one wild cat
The managing editor of the Arizona Daily Wildcat was arrested Saturday morning for disorderly conduct and disturbing the peace when he tore down a pro-Ducks sign before GameDay started. How journalistic of him.
Waking up after 23 years
A Belgian man falsely believed to be in a coma since he was 20 was actually conscious and unable to move or speak the entire time because of a kind of “locked-in syndrome,” according to the UK Telegraph. Three years ago doctors using state-of-the-art technology discovered his brain was quite active, and he can now communicate with the help of a speech therapist moving his finer along a touch-screen keyboard. No word on why it took three years to report the story, but after 23 years of silence, you’d probably have other business to take care of too.

Lame ethics charges
South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford — he of the Appalachian Trail who is trying to fall back in love with his wife — was charged with 37 ethics violations for silly things like flying first-class and using campaign funds to attend President Obama’s inauguration. There’s a reason the state legislature wants to impeach this guy, but phony concerns about where he sits on an airplane are not truly among them.
